Journey from John O'Groats to Lands End

Ever fancied taking a bike ride from the most northern point of Scotland to the most southern point of England? These guys have been there and have returned in one piece to tell the story! Chris, Julian and Andy cycled from John O'Groats to Lands End from Thursday 5th to Saturday 14th September 2013. They traveled just short of 1000 miles in 10 days in order to raise money for Help for Heroes. We donated three of our Active Lite Mac in a Sacs to help them along their way and support their cause. The journey is mapped out above to demonstrate the amazing length of the cycle.

The journey involved cycling around 100 miles each day in very testing weather conditions. Fortunately, through the rain and fog, the men remained highly visible to the other road users in our bright yellow, reflective Active Lite jackets. Thankfully, it didn't rain the entire time and they got to enjoy parts of the journey with some sunshine overhead.

Despite a few falling-off moments, sore knees, regular doses of pain killers and battling against the elements, all three men returned home safe and sound, very proud of their achievement and having raised a considerable amount of money for charity. You can see some photos of their journey below, and read more about it on their Facebook page: JOGLE H4H 2013.

Congratulations to Chris, Julian and Andy... fantastic effort!
