Introducing the Mac in a Sac Strata... It's arrived!

Being so seldom spoiled by such amazing warm weather here in the UK, the heat of July came as a very welcome surprise. However after getting dangerously attached to our new climate, alas, August has come as a shock to the system with darker evenings and wetter weather. We are being constantly reminded that winter is on it's way. But fortunately, every dark cloud has a silver lining…

With a brand new season just around the corner, comes brand new products, and we are delighted to say that this Autumn/Winter will not disappoint.

This season, further to our current popular Mac in a Sac Classic jacket, we are now introducing our brand new extension: the Mac in a Sac Strata. This jacket is just as practical and effective as it’s summer sister, but it has been designed especially with the chilly winter months in mind.

Maintaining a 5000mm waterproofing with fully taped seams and a 5000gsm breathability, the Mac in a Sac Strata includes a cosy thermal jersey lining (150g) to keep you warm through the bleak winter weather, as well as keep you dry. Combined with the fact that the Strata is also fully windproof, it will be sure to keep you toasty while battling the elements. The Strata is also even more practical as it packs away into it’s own pocket (pictured below) removing the risk of loosing the bag to keep it in.

Our new jacket includes a concealed adjustable hood, easily accessible when a shower comes on and equally as easy to pack away at the end. The Strata also has an adjustable draw-cord at the curved hem and elasticated comfort cuffs to help keep the rain out and keep you super dry. The contouring of the jacket has been designed for a unisex fit, allowing both men and women to wear it comfortably.

The Strata comes in three colours, pictured above: Jet Black, Fuchsia and Sky Diver. The difference in colour ensures there is something to please everyone on their winter hike. The bright colours will help you to be seen by others while walking in the darker evenings, and if you choose the black you will be just as visible thanks to the reflective branding and piping along the back of the jacket. A new feature in the form of a colour contrasting zip is also included in the Strata, but that's just for fun.

Below are two photographs to show the lining of the coat and demonstrate the difference between the Mac in a Sac Classic and the new Mac in a Sac Strata. As you can see the Strata jacket is lined all the way down the inside of the arm for extra comfort and warmth, keeping you ultra cosy and making that dash outside in the freezing cold rain a bit more enjoyable.

We are happy to say that our Mac in a Sac Strata has now come into stock and is ready and waiting to go to it's new home in your wardrobe! If you are a fan of our Classic style, this version is simply a must-have for the winter months!

So now that we're all set, bring on the cold!
