The poncho looks to be just what I wanted which is a breathable lightweight cover that can be quickly put on over me and my backpack if I get caught in a heavy shower rather than have to fight my way into a jacket. Thankfully I haven't needed to wear it yet but it is there in my backpack ready if I need it.
