Decent water proof jacket, reasonably priced

I've ran in this jacket twice now, once in quite heavy rain and relatively cold water outside. I was still went underneath, but most likely this was because of sweating. The jacket runs a bit large IMHO so I had to go down a size. Otherwise I like the fit and look of it. I was told it's PFC/PFAS free, which matters to me.

Good but a few minor issues

A decent jacket for running. Good wind and water proofing, although room for improvement with breath ability. There will be dampness inside the coat on longer runs. A couple of annoying design features that will hopefully be modified: (1) for a quality jacket, the main front zipper is very small and fidelly, it is not very easy to close or even open the zipper. It needs a better zipper on the front to allow for quickly putting the coat on and taking it off as weather changes during a race, (2) it has a good size hood, however the elasticated closure around the face is too small. I understand the idea was to keep blowing rain out, but the hood comes down to close to the eyes and restricts visibility while running.

Other than that, I’m very happy with the jacket so far.

Promising product!

I’ve been looking for a good running jacket in the price range and really liked the look of the Ultralite (size medium)

Main thoughts:

- the elasticated cord on the visor is very tight and in adjustable

- I’m 5”10 and I feel like the sleeves are about 2inches too long, they could be reduce by at least 1” if not more and still fit a wide range of arm lengths.

- breathabilty seems good

- I ran in the very heavy rain and it held up pretty well apart for the pools of water in my elbows - could do with tighter cuffs? When running arms are bent upwards so probably not an issue when walking.

- love the cut and fit, size and lightness it’s perfect! The bag/pocket it packs down into could definitely be smaller.

- internal pockets don’t need to be so deep and could do with a small internal phone pocket.

Overall really cool jacket! I’m looking forward to using it on my trail runs in the impending cold and wet weather..
